  What's all the hype?

Is Organic Food Healthier

One of reasons why organic food is popular is that it is believed that it makes food more nutritious and healthier. Food grown organically have shown to have higher nutrient levels and fewer pesticides. A study funded by US Environmental Protection Agency found that children who ate organic food for 15 days had fewer levels of two organophosphate pesticides.

But how much produce you should consume is still not clear. Some studies have show that organic food can have slightly higher amounts of certain vitamins, while other studies show not a significant amount of difference at all. For example, The Food Standards Agency-commissioned study done in 2009 “found there were no significant nutritional benefits from organic food.
