Symptoms and Treatments for Liver Cirrhosis

Your Liver

liver is the most hardworking organ in our body because it filters all the dirt, bacteria, and toxins in our body. Our body wont function properly without our liver. Liver cirrhosis is when inflammation and liver damage cause the liver to become fibrotic and develop scar tissue. The general symptoms of cirrhosis, early on with a small amount of scarring in fibrosis is called compensated cirrhosis, meaning the liver is still functional and still can do its job. In this case somebody with cirrhosis might not have any symptoms at all, or they might have vague symptoms like weakness, fatigue or weight loss. However, with constant extensive scarring, the liver will turn to decompensated cirrhosis, at this point the liver cannot function normally anymore.

Once the liver is scarred, the damage is permanent, and the consequences are rather fatal. So, while young, we should educate everyone the importance and the different functions of our organ including of course our liver. We should take care of our liver because we only have one. Humans can still live with one eye or with only one arm, or one kidney but once our liver is damaged the inevitable complications will follow.
