Introduction

Electronic cigarettes (vaping) are battery-operated devices that deliver nicotine when inhaled vapor. It has a removable cartridge that contain glycerol or propylene glycerol, flavoring, and varying amounts of nicotine (including O mg). The nicotine solution is vaporized by an atomizer, which is activated by ‘drawing’ on the device or pressing a button. ‘Smoking’ an electronic cigarette (e-cigarette) impersonators the act of smoking and is often referred to as ‘vaping’.

 

Since their introduction into the market in 2004 by Ruyan Group (later renamed Dragonite) in China, e-cigarettes have gained popularity worldwide. The e-cigarette market is growing rapidly and is highly fragmented, with over 100 different brands.
